Beginners Course
From Netherhall Archers
We run beginners courses on Tuesday evenings (times vary slightly because of light) lasting roughly 2 + 1/2 hours. The course is run over four sessions where we aim to have a ratio of two beginners to one instructor for the first two weeks, the following two weeks are practice sessions under supervision. Each course will have at least two qualified coaches running the sessions.
After the course, for insurance purposes, you will need to pay the compulsory yearly GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) fee [see below]. Hopefully, if you have enjoyed your sessions, you will know at this time whether you wish to continue with the sport and will be able to hire equipment with a view to coming along for more sessions and eventually join the Club. All the coaches hold an Enhanced Criminal Record Certificate within the meaning of Sections 115 and 116 of the Police Act 1997 issued by the Criminal Records Bureau.

Juniors
Juniors under 14 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or other appointed adult.
We believe that when dealing with children and vulnerable adults, their welfare should always be of paramount importance. We are committed to providing an environment where young people can learn and participate in a sport free from harassment and abuse. All those people working with children have a moral responsibility to safeguard and promote a child's welfare. This club has therefore adopted the GNAS Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy to ensure peace of mind for both adults and children.
Venue
We shoot on the field behind the Marshall Sports Centre at Netherhall Upper School in Queen Edith's Way, Cambridge in the summer months and in the Sports Centre during the winter.
