Cambridgeshire Archery Assocciation End-of-Season Shoot

From Netherhall Archers

16th October

It's become something of a tradition over the last few years for Parkfield Archers to host the Cambridgeshire Archery Association (CAA) End-of-Season shoot. They shoot on the village playing field ("Parkfield") at Wimblington, between Chatteris and March.

Parkfield will be well known to many of us by way of the Bullman family who are staunch supporters of archery in the county. The three boys - Jason, Jordan and Ashley are to be seen on the shooting line of most shoots.

This year was the best attended end of season shoot for many years with eighty archers on the shooting line for this Western. Netherhall's attendance was rather on the slim side with just Kathryn and myself (that's not to say that I am claiming to be slim...).

It was a handicap shoot so despite Kathryn putting in an excellent perfomance, it wasn't enough to come away with any metal.

On the plus side, the Rolos from the raffle were spot-on. Even better, our line tent was about equidistant between the shooting line, Clickers' mobile shop and the loos. The weather was perfect and some amazing scores were put in, with some people shooting (I think) 300 points above their handicap.
