Netherhall Juniors

We have our very own club-within-a-club called Netherhall Junior Archers. This will be the focus of activities designed for junior archers for them to get more out of it. This page will soon provide details of these activities.

Association for Archery in Schools

Netherhall Archers is affilliated to the AAS. This enables our junior members to qualify for the AAS awards and participate in the AAS shoots. In particular, the AAS badges are a splendid recognition of achievement in archery. They are very 'friendly' to get. Your lowest score you get when shooting three dozen arrows on three separate occasions determines the badge level you qualify for. As you improve, you get the higher badges to show what you have achieved. The great thing is tha you need not shoot these in a competitive (i.e. tournament) environment. Club target days count, too.

The full details of the AAS are available here (http://www.aasinfo.demon.co.uk/).

The scoring regime for each AAS badge is in this table (http://www.aasinfo.demon.co.uk/badge.html).

The AAS badge claim form is here (http://www.aasinfo.demon.co.uk/claim.doc) and the cover notes that must accompany every claim are to be found here (http://www.aasinfo.demon.co.uk/claim.doc).
